Recipes Bbq Ribs

I love country style pork ribs. This recipe is a bit of a hassle. However, for those who you who do not mind taking the time it is well worth it in the end. I prefer to make mine with a premade BBQ sauce such as Cattleman’s or Kraft that saves time on making sauce from scratch, however I do add some spices to the BBQ sauce to flavor it up.

What you will need:

8-10 country style pork ribs
2 bottles of spicy honey BBQ sauce
3/4 Tsp of fresh chopped garlic
1/2 Tsp onion powder
1/2 Tsp garlic powder
1/4 Tsp black pepper
1/4 Tsp liquid smoke
sea salt

1. Boil ribs 2-2 1/2 hours on the stove
2. In a bowl mix one bottle of BBQ sauce with the spices and liquid smoke
3. After boiling salt ribs and season with extra seasoning if desired
4. Use all spiced BBQ sauce and baste onto boiled ribs
5. Place on the grill on a low flame on an upper shelf
6. Open second bottle and baste every 10 minutes or so (clean basting brush after each application to avoid germ contamination)
7. After ribs are fully cooked place ribs directly on bottom rack for about 20 -30 seconds each side to sear and darken.
